How can we create the conditions for a partnership society in times of polarisation?

These questions have been inspired by the everyday reality and severe challenges arising not only in Hungary, but all around the world. The practices of participatory leadership provide tools for collective sense-making and action, through the most direct way of connecting to each other: conversations.
Hosting and participating in transformational conversations – whether in a family, a neighbourhood, an organisation or a larger community – can create an impact proportionally much greater than our apparent size would justify, compared to those who hold power.
We invite you to join us in shared learning about how participatory leadership can pave the way for a partnership society where people can freely express their truth and bring the wealth of diversity into collaboration.
Some of the questions we will explore…
- What are the deeper human longings underneath the pain, despair, cynicism and negativity about our collective future that fuel so many conversations – in intimate, community, organizational settings?
- How to constructively surface and amplify these deeper longings to enable people to re-connect, re-build trust and confidence, find allies and create communities to bring the change they want to see in the world?
- How can connection with nature and land support us in creating solutions that are truly life-serving for people and the planet?
- How can we (re-)build or (re-)create communities right where we are so that we can support each other in creating the world we want to live in?
- How can we become the change we want to see in the world?
- How can we bring back the practices to our own communities?

What will we learn & practice together?
This 3-day residential training in the Art of Hosting and Harvesting conversations that matter is designed for learning simple yet powerful practices that build community, activate collective intelligence and foster individual and collaborative leadership practices that give us the capacity to navigate the complexity of our world as it is today in order to come to wise actions together
Location
The 3-day training will be held approx 30-40 minutes outside of Budapest at Piliscsaba – Cosmos Ökopanzió
Address: Piliscsaba, Szent István király u. 147. – Entry from Gárdonyi Géza street.
If you would come by train: There are two types of trains running from Budapest. The ‘fast’ train leaves at the top of the hour and the ‘slow’ train runs at 20 minutes past the hour. You want to take the SLOW train as the fast train does not stop close to the venue and would require a 20-minute walk. The walk from the station if you take the slow train is only about 5 minutes. The directions:
- Get off at the back of the train.
- Once you have exited, go to the left all the way to the end of the platform (that’s the only end where you can cross the rails).
- Cross the rails.
- Once crossed, turn to the right and walk ahead until you see the gate with the Art of Hosting sign (big brown gate)
